What does it cost to get hearing aids?

Quick Answers

The hearing test is typically covered by your insurance.  (If you donít have insurance, talk to us about special arrangements.)

Meeting with us to discuss hearing aid options and features is done at no charge.

Trying hearing aids requires that you make a downpayment at the time you are fit with the new hearing aids.  If you decide to return the hearing aids within the 45-day trial period, the downpayment is refunded except for $90, which is the fee to cover the time and administration costs of the trial.  If custom earmolds are made for behind-the-ear hearing aids, they are not returnable and the cost per earmold is $50.

The cost of hearing aids vary based on the size, style, and features within them.  The cost of new hearing aids covers all fitting and follow-up visits.

Medicare and most insurances do not pay for hearing aids.  However, you should check your policy (or we can help you check) because some policies do have a periodic allotment for the purchase of hearing aids.
