What is an audiologist?

Quick Answers

Audiologists are healthcare professionals with either a Masters degree or a Doctoral degree.  They are trained in understanding the entire hearing system.  Audiologists evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage hearing loss, tinnitus, balance disorders and auditory processing disorders.  They work with newborns, children and adults.

At Village Audiology, our special focus is thorough hearing testing and proper fitting of hearing aids, particularly with adults.  We also support primary care doctors and pediatricians in diagnosing and managing hearing loss for patients of all ages.
